Fosters successfully delivered a $2 million electrical modernisation for Armadale Hospital on behalf of East Metro Health Service, upgrading the facility's entire power infrastructure to ensure campus-wide resilience against total mains failure.

Project details: 

The project involved installing a new 400A power supply and main switchboard, integrating 20 intelligent bus ties for automatic fault rerouting, and connecting all systems to the hospital's central monitoring computer for real-time visibility. All high-risk work was completed during after-hours and weekend windows — achieving zero disruption to clinical operations — with exhaustive post-installation testing carried out in the Operating Theatres to verify every alarm and safety signal to medical-grade standards. Advanced procurement scheduling neutralised 10-week component lead times, keeping the project on track from start to handover.
