Patient Area Upgrades, Switchboard Upgrades & Generator Replacement

Foster’s Services were brought on to conduct an essential services switchboard upgrade and generator replacement project for the Peel Health Campus.

With several trades working simultaneously around active wards, this project involved major coordination with the State Health Department and hospital operators to conduct the changeovers and upgrades in a manner that would cause minimal disruption to hospital operations.

Project responsibilities: 

• RCD upgrades 

• Body Protection upgrades 

• Essential power installation across all ward switchboards through the complex

• 90 live ward upgrades to AS/NZ 3003 - the medical area standards 

• Site generator replacement to a 800kva unit with extended fuel pod infrastructure back into the site's existing ATS switchboard.
