Transition to BEVs in WA

The Western Australian Local Government Association, or WALGA, is leading a groundbreaking $12.26 million project to install 105 electric vehicle charging stations across 22 local governments, supporting the rollout of 129 battery electric vehicles to replace petrol and diesel fleets.

Project details:

Delivered by EV Charging Systems, the project features advanced load management technology that optimises energy use, integrates solar power, and ensures future scalability. Despite challenges like increased site electrical demands and updated safety standards, the team successfully implemented reliable, expandable solutions that are already helping transition over 57 megawatts of power to electric vehicles. This collaboration is setting a new benchmark for sustainable fleet electrification and energy efficiency across Western Australia.
